An individual licensed to practice dentistry under this chapter is a licentiate for purposes of paragraph (2) of subdivision (a) of Section 805, and thus is a health care practitioner subject to the provisions of Section 2290.5 pursuant to subdivision (b) of that section.

Notes

Defines a dentist licensed under the chapter as a “licentiate” for purposes of the referenced reporting provision and, as a result, as a health care practitioner subject to the referenced telehealth law. The classification applies to an individual licensed to practice dentistry under the chapter.
