Notwithstanding Section 1912, a registered dental hygienist may provide, without supervision, fluoride varnish to a patient.

Notes

Allows a registered dental hygienist to provide fluoride varnish to a patient without supervision, despite the referenced supervision provision. The authorization specifically permits unsupervised provision of fluoride varnish by a registered dental hygienist despite the otherwise referenced supervision rule in that provision.
