(a) A registered dental hygienist in alternative practice may hire other registered dental hygienists in alternative practice to assist in his or her practice.
(b) A registered dental hygienist in alternative practice may hire and supervise dental assistants performing intraoral retraction and suctioning.

Allows a registered dental hygienist in alternative practice to hire other alternative-practice registered dental hygienists to assist in the practice and to hire and supervise dental assistants performing intraoral retraction and suctioning. The authority separately covers assistance by other alternative-practice hygienists and supervised retraction and suctioning by dental assistants.
