Unless otherwise expressly provided, the term “board” as used in this chapter means the Medical Board of California. As used in this chapter or any other provision of law, “Division of Medical Quality” and “Division of Licensing” shall be deemed to refer to the board.

Defines “board,” unless the chapter expressly provides otherwise, as the Medical Board of California and requires references to the “Division of Medical Quality” or “Division of Licensing” in the chapter or any other law to be treated as references to that board. Both division names are therefore construed as Medical Board references.
