The board may establish advisory committees consisting of persons who have a physician’s and surgeon’s certificate issued by the board that is in good standing and members of the public with interest or knowledge of the subject matter assigned to the committee. Members of an advisory committee need not be members of the board.

Notes

Allows the board to establish advisory committees consisting of physicians and surgeons whose board-issued certificates are in good standing and public members with interest or knowledge concerning the assigned subject. Advisory committee members need not be board members, so committee service may include qualifying physicians and public members outside the board.
