An applicant for a reciprocity certificate need not have completed the postgraduate training required in Section 2096 prior to the issuance of a license in another state, if the applicant complies with the requirements of Section 2096 before application is made to the board for a reciprocity certificate.

Notes

Allows a reciprocity applicant who did not complete the otherwise required postgraduate training before receiving a medical license in another state to qualify without having completed that training before the out-of-state license. The applicant must instead satisfy the specified postgraduate-training requirement before applying to the board for a reciprocity certificate.
