No person shall advertise or hold himself out as a “nurse practitioner” who is not a nurse licensed under this chapter and does not, in addition, meet the standards for a nurse practitioner established by the board.

Notes

Prohibits any person from advertising or holding themselves out as a “nurse practitioner” unless the person is licensed as a nurse under the chapter and also meets the nurse-practitioner standards established by the board. Both the nursing-license requirement and the board's practitioner standards must be satisfied before using that title.
