No optometrist shall advertise or otherwise hold himself or herself out to be a specialist in eye disease and the treatment thereof.

Prohibits an optometrist from advertising or otherwise holding himself or herself out as a specialist in eye disease and its treatment. The prohibited conduct includes both advertising that specialist status and otherwise representing oneself as having that specialist status in eye disease and its treatment.
