This chapter may not be construed to authorize a naturopathic doctor to practice medicine, as defined under Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 2000), except as specifically authorized in this chapter.

Notes

Limits the chapter so it cannot be construed to authorize a naturopathic doctor to practice medicine as defined in the referenced medical chapter. A naturopathic doctor may practice medicine only to the extent specifically authorized by this chapter, which is the express exception to that limitation.
