Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as authorizing a respiratory care practitioner to practice medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing, except as authorized by this chapter.

Notes

Limits the chapter so it does not authorize a respiratory care practitioner to practice medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing beyond what the chapter itself authorizes. The exception is limited to practices affirmatively authorized by the chapter for respiratory care practitioners.
