California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 2 — Healing ArtsChapter 9 — PharmacyArticle 19 — Disciplinary ProceedingsSection 4300.1

The expiration, cancellation, forfeiture, or suspension of a board-issued license by operation of law or by order or decision of the board or a court of law, the placement of a license on a retired status, or the voluntary surrender of a license by a licensee shall not deprive the board of jurisdiction to commence or proceed with any investigation of, or action or disciplinary proceeding against, the licensee or to render a decision suspending or revoking the license.

Notes

Establishes that expiration, cancellation, forfeiture, suspension, retired status, or voluntary surrender of a board-issued license does not end the board's jurisdiction over the licensee. The board may still begin or continue an investigation, action, or disciplinary proceeding and may render a decision suspending or revoking the license despite that license status.
