California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 10.5 — App-Based Drivers and Services, Article 2 — App-Based Driver Independence, Section 7452.5
Independence Unaffected. Nothing in Article 3 (commencing with Section 7453) to Article 11 (commencing with Section 7467), inclusive, of this chapter shall be interpreted to in any way alter the relationship between a network company and an app-based driver for whom the conditions set forth in Section 7451 are satisfied.

Limits interpretation of the specified later articles so they do not alter the relationship between a network company and an app-based driver who satisfies the referenced conditions. Those articles therefore may not be construed, by themselves, to change the relationship established for a driver meeting those conditions.
