Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as entitling any person to practice law in this state unless he or she is an active member of the State Bar of California.

Notes

Prohibits construing the chapter to authorize any person to practice law in California unless that person is an active member of the State Bar of California. Holding authority, status, or a license under this chapter therefore does not itself confer a right to practice law.
