California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 11.5 — Private Security Services, Article 4 — Private Patrol Operators, Section 7583.16
(a) The director may deny an application for registration, or may suspend or revoke a previously issued registration, if the individual has committed any action which, if committed by a licensee, would be grounds for refusing to issue a license, or for the suspension or revocation of a license issued under this chapter.
(b) The denial of an application for registration under this article shall be in writing and shall describe the basis for the denial. The denial shall inform the applicant that if the applicant desires a review by a disciplinary review committee to contest the denial, the review shall be requested of the director within 30 days following notice of the issuance of the denial.
Notes
Allows the director to deny a registration application or suspend or revoke an issued registration when the individual committed conduct that would justify refusing, suspending, or revoking a license. Requires a registration denial to be written, explain its basis, and inform the applicant that disciplinary-review-committee review must be requested within 30 days after notice of denial.
