Every person guilty of a misdemeanor under the provisions of this chapter, shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both.

Notes

Sets the punishment for a person convicted of a misdemeanor under the chapter at imprisonment in county jail for no more than six months, a fine not exceeding $1,000, or both imprisonment and the fine. The provision supplies the misdemeanor sentencing limits for offenses created by the chapter.
