California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 20 — Electronic and Appliance Repair Dealers, Article 1 — General Provisions, Section 9804
No person who is licensed pursuant to Chapter 9 (commencing with Section 7000) of Division 3 of this code shall be required to register under this chapter if such person’s activities are within the scope of his license; nor shall such person be prohibited from repairing, servicing, or maintaining equipment of any type, the installation of which may be performed under his license.
Notes
Exempts a person licensed under the specified chapter from registration under this chapter when the person’s activities are within the scope of that license. Allows the same licensee to repair, service, or maintain equipment of any type when installation of that equipment may be performed under the license.
