As used in this chapter, the word “person” includes any individual, firm, partnership, general corporation, professional corporation, or limited liability partnership, as authorized by the Corporations Code.

Defines person for this chapter to include an individual, firm, partnership, general corporation, professional corporation, or limited liability partnership authorized by the Corporations Code. The definition therefore extends the chapter’s use of person beyond natural individuals to each of those listed organizational forms.
