The State Bar shall investigate any licensee against whom an information or indictment has been filed that alleges a violation of Section 550 of the Penal Code or Section 1871.4 of the Insurance Code, if the district attorney does not otherwise object to initiating an investigation.

Notes

Requires the State Bar to investigate any licensee against whom an information or indictment has been filed alleging a violation of the specified Penal Code or Insurance Code provision, unless the district attorney objects to initiating the investigation. The requirement applies only when the charging document has been filed and the district attorney does not object.
