California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 6 — Professional Fiduciaries, Article 5 — Enforcement and Disciplinary Proceedings, Section 6582.5

Notwithstanding Section 6582, if any violation occurs, in its discretion, the bureau may refer the case to the Attorney General or to the local district attorney for criminal prosecution. The referral of a case for criminal prosecution shall not preclude the bureau from taking any other action provided for in this chapter.

Notes

Allows the bureau, in its discretion when a violation occurs, to refer the matter to the Attorney General or local district attorney for criminal prosecution. Establishes that making a criminal referral does not prevent the bureau from also taking any other action authorized by the chapter concerning the same violation.
