California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 8.5 — Locksmiths, Article 9 — Revenue, Section 6980.80

The initial application fee is considered an earned fee at the time an application for a license is received by the bureau. No refund shall be made to the applicant in the event that the applicant is found to lack the required qualifications, or is otherwise denied a license pursuant to this chapter.

Notes

Establishes the initial license-application fee as earned when the bureau receives the application. Prohibits refunding that fee when the applicant is found not to possess the required qualifications or when the applicant is otherwise denied a license under the chapter, making denial or disqualification insufficient for a refund.
