California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 9 — Contractors, Article 11 — Asbestos Consultants, Section 7189.5

This article shall apply to asbestos abatement projects within the meaning of asbestos-related work as defined in Section 6501.8 of the Labor Code, and which involves 100 square feet or more of surface area of asbestos containing material.

Notes

Limits application of the article to asbestos-abatement projects that meet the referenced definition of asbestos-related work and involve at least 100 square feet of surface area containing asbestos material. Both the asbestos-related-work definition and the 100-square-foot minimum surface-area threshold must be satisfied for the article to apply.
