California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 3 — Professions and Vocations GenerallyChapter 9 — ContractorsArticle 7 — Disciplinary ProceedingsSection 7123

A conviction of a crime substantially related to the qualifications, functions and duties of a contractor constitutes a cause for disciplinary action. The record of the conviction shall be conclusive evidence thereof.

Notes

Sets conviction of a crime substantially related to a contractor’s qualifications, functions, and duties as grounds for disciplinary action. The record of that conviction is conclusive evidence of the conviction for purposes of the disciplinary rule, so the statute makes the qualifying conviction itself the operative disciplinary basis.
