The provisions of Article 5 (commencing with Section 10230) and Article 7 (commencing with Section 10240) do not apply to any person whose business is that of acting as an authorized representative, agent, or loan correspondent of any person or employee thereof doing business under any law of this state, any other state, or the United States relating to banks, trust companies, savings and loan associations, industrial loan companies, pension trusts, credit unions, or insurance companies or when making loans qualified for sale to any of the foregoing insofar as that business is concerned.

Notes

Exempts from the specified mortgage-loan articles a person acting as an authorized representative, agent, or loan correspondent of a person or employee doing business under laws of this state, another state, or the United States relating to listed financial or insurance institutions, and when making loans qualified for sale to those institutions, to the extent that business is concerned.
