California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 4 — Real Estate, Part 1 — Licensing of Persons, Chapter 3 — Real Estate Regulations, Article 3 — Disciplinary Action, Section 10185
Any person, including officers, directors, agents or employees of corporations, who willfully violates or knowingly participates in the violation of this division shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six months, or by a fine and imprisonment.

Prohibits any person, including a corporation’s officers, directors, agents, or employees, from willfully violating or knowingly participating in a violation of the division. Establishes each such violation as a misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $10,000, up to six months in county jail, or both the fine and imprisonment.
