A person or entity may not structure an appraisal assignment for, or a contract with, an employee appraiser or an independent contractor appraiser for the purpose of evading the provisions of this part relating to appraisal management companies.

Prohibits a person or entity from structuring an appraisal assignment or a contract with an employee or independent-contractor appraiser for the purpose of evading the part’s requirements governing appraisal management companies. The anti-evasion rule applies regardless of whether the appraiser is treated as an employee or an independent contractor.
