California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 5 — Weights and MeasuresChapter 2 — AdministrationArticle 2.1 — Fees and ChargesSection 12242

The revenue from any fee charged pursuant to Section 12240 shall be deposited in the general fund of the county and used solely for the activities required by Sections 12210 and 12211.

Notes

Requires revenue from any fee charged under the referenced registration-fee provision to be deposited in the county general fund and used solely for the two specified weights-and-measures activities. The restriction both identifies the required destination for the money and limits expenditure of those fee revenues to carrying out the inspection and commodity-measurement duties referenced in this text.
