California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 7 — General Business RegulationsPart 1 — Licensing for Revenue and RegulationChapter 7 — Transportation Network Company Drivers: Business LicensesSection 16550

It is the intent of the Legislature to limit any requirement for a business license imposed by a local jurisdiction on a participating driver for a transportation network company to a single business license, regardless of the number of local jurisdictions in which the participating driver operates.

Notes

Establishes legislative intent that a participating driver for a transportation network company should face at most one local business-license requirement regardless of how many local jurisdictions the driver operates in. The provision states legislative intent rather than itself setting the detailed licensing procedure, exemptions, duration, fees, or enforcement rules for participating drivers.
