“Indian,” as used in this article, means a person who is enrolled or who is a lineal descendant of one enrolled upon an enrollment listing of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or upon the enrollment listing of a recognized Indian tribe, band or pueblo.

Defines “Indian” for the article as a person who is enrolled, or is a lineal descendant of a person enrolled, on an enrollment list maintained by the Bureau of Indian Affairs or by a recognized Indian tribe, band, or pueblo. Either qualifying enrollment source satisfies the definition.
