California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 7 — General Business RegulationsPart 3 — Representations to the PublicChapter 3 — Trading Stamp Company ActSection 17752
“Trading stamp” does not include any redeemable device used by the manufacturer or packer of an article, in advertising or selling the article, or any redeemable device issued and redeemed by a newspaper, magazine, or other publication.
Notes
Defines “trading stamp” to exclude redeemable devices used by a manufacturer or packer in advertising or selling its article, and redeemable devices issued and redeemed by a newspaper, magazine, or other publication. Those devices therefore fall outside the statutory term rather than being treated as trading stamps under the chapter.
