Protection of the public shall be the highest priority for the State Athletic Commission in exercising its licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions. Whenever the protection of the public is inconsistent with other interests sought to be promoted, the protection of the public shall be paramount.

Notes

Establishes protection of the public as the State Athletic Commission’s highest priority when exercising licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions. Whenever public protection conflicts with other interests the commission is intended to promote, public protection must take precedence over those competing interests.
