(a) Subject to subdivision (b), a professional fighter licensed under this chapter shall be entitled to a minimum purse of two hundred dollars ($200) per round fought.

(b) The commission may raise the minimum purse amount by regulation.

Notes

Sets a minimum purse of $200 for each round fought by a professional fighter licensed under the chapter, subject to the commission’s authority to increase that minimum by regulation. The statutory floor applies unless and until the commission lawfully establishes a higher minimum purse amount.
