The referee shall stop a contest when a contestant shows a marked superiority, or is apparently outclassed.

Requires the referee to stop a boxing contest when one contestant shows marked superiority or is apparently outclassed. Either stated condition triggers the referee's duty to stop the contest, so the rule applies when marked superiority appears or when a contestant is apparently outclassed.
