Subdivisions (a) and (b) of Section 19618 shall not apply to any payment by a licensed harness racing association in the northern zone, or by any fair, in connection with promotional contests or sponsorship contributions.

Notes

Exempts payments by a licensed northern-zone harness racing association or by any fair, when made in connection with promotional contests or sponsorship contributions, from the two specified prohibitions on unauthorized payments and receipts. The exception applies only to those payments and entities and states no monetary cap, deadline, filing requirement, or additional condition.
