“Retail sale” or “sale at retail” means the sale by an on- or off-sale licensee for consumption and not for resale.

Notes

Defines retail sale or sale at retail as a sale by an on-sale or off-sale licensee in which the alcoholic beverages are sold for consumption rather than for resale. The definition is limited to sales by those licensees and distinguishes retail transactions by the purchaser consumption purpose instead of resale.
