At the time set for the hearing, any of the owners who have verified answers on file may show by competent evidence that the alcoholic beverages or other property were not in fact used contrary to the provisions of this division.

Notes

Allows an owner who has a verified answer on file to present competent evidence at the scheduled forfeiture hearing showing that the seized alcoholic beverages or other property were not actually used in violation of the alcoholic-beverage division. The provision gives that evidentiary opportunity specifically to owners who timely have verified answers on file.
