Nothing in this section shall be construed to expand the existing duties of a licensee in connection with the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. An alcohol server shall continue to be subject to subdivisions (b) and (c) of Section 25602.

Limits the responsible beverage service provision so it does not expand a licensee’s existing duties concerning alcoholic-beverage sales and service. Alcohol servers remain subject to the two referenced subdivisions governing service-related conduct, preserving those existing obligations rather than creating additional licensee duties through this provision.
