Upon receipt by the department of a petition for a license in proper form, the petition shall be set for hearing.

Notes

Requires the department, upon receiving a properly completed petition for a license, to set the petition for a hearing. The provision makes scheduling the hearing mandatory once a petition in proper form is received and states no separate filing deadline, fee, hearing date, or exception to that requirement.
