California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCGeneral ProvisionsSection 24

If any provision of this code, or the application thereof, to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the remainder of the code, or the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected thereby.

Notes

Establishes that if a code provision or its application to a person or circumstance is held invalid, the remaining code and valid applications are not affected. The severability rule preserves portions that can operate independently and does not itself create a licensing standard, deadline, fee, penalty, or exception.
