A fraudulent promise to marry or to cohabit after marriage does not give rise to a cause of action for damages.

Notes

Bars any damages claim based on a fraudulent promise to marry or to cohabit after marriage, so someone deceived by that kind of promise has no cause of action for damages. States no exception and names no circumstance in which such a claim survives.
