No rental or sale agreement shall contain a provision by which the purchaser or homeowner waives his or her rights under this article. Any waiver thereof shall be deemed contrary to public policy and shall be void and unenforceable.
Notes
Prohibits any rental or sale agreement from requiring a purchaser or homeowner to waive rights provided under the article. Any attempted waiver of those rights is declared contrary to public policy and is void and unenforceable, so the agreement cannot make the waiver legally effective.
