Performance of an obligation for the delivery of money only, is called payment.
Notes
Defines payment as performance of an obligation whose required performance consists only of delivering money. The term therefore applies when the obligation is exclusively monetary and is satisfied through delivery of the money owed, distinguishing payment from performance involving goods, services, acts, or other nonmonetary obligations.
