California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 2 — Contracts, Title 1 — Nature of a Contract, Chapter 3 — Consent, Section 1588

A contract which is voidable solely for want of due consent, may be ratified by a subsequent consent.

Notes

Allows a contract that is voidable solely because proper consent was lacking to be ratified by consent given later. Subsequent valid consent therefore can cure the earlier defect in consent and confirm the contract when no other ground makes the contract voidable.
