California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 2 — Contracts, Title 2.5 — Electronic Transactions, Section 1633.13

In a proceeding, evidence of a record or signature may not be excluded solely because it is in electronic form.

Notes

Electronic form by itself therefore cannot make otherwise relevant evidence inadmissible, although the provision does not alter other evidentiary requirements or grounds for exclusion that may apply to the record or signature.
