California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 1.5 — Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Chapter 1 — General Provisions, Section 1756

The substantive and procedural provisions of this title shall only apply to actions filed on or after January 1, 1971.

Notes

Limits the title’s substantive and procedural provisions to actions filed on or after January 1, 1971. The provision therefore makes the filing date the applicability threshold: actions filed before that date are outside the title’s stated substantive and procedural application, while actions filed on or after that date fall within it.
