California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 13 — Suretyship, Article 5 — Continuing Guaranty, Section 2815

A continuing guaranty may be revoked at any time by the guarantor, in respect to future transactions, unless there is a continuing consideration as to such transactions which he does not renounce.

Notes

Allows a guarantor to revoke a continuing guaranty at any time for future transactions, unless those future transactions are supported by continuing consideration that the guarantor does not renounce. Revocation therefore applies to future transactions only when the stated continuing consideration does not remain in force through the guarantor’s failure to renounce it.
