California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 2 — Credit Sales, Chapter 1 — Retail Installment Sales, Article 12.4 — Financing Retail Purchases, Section 1812.20

Notwithstanding Section 1801.6, no person shall require a purchaser of goods or services to obtain financing from any particular source. Any person who violates this section shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 1812.6.

Notes

Prohibits any person from requiring a purchaser of goods or services to obtain financing from a particular source, notwithstanding the referenced provision. Establishes that a person who violates that financing-source prohibition is subject to the penalty provided in the referenced penalty provision.
