California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 7 — Carriage, Chapter 6 — Carrier of Passengers Act of 2024, Article 6 — Severability, Section 2218
(a) The provisions of this chapter are severable. If any provision of this chapter or its application is held invalid, that invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application.
Notes
Establishes severability for the chapter, so invalidity of one provision or application does not affect other provisions or applications that can operate without the invalid part. The rule preserves every provision or application capable of being given effect independently of the provision or application held invalid.
