California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 4 — General Provisions, Part 5 — Common Interest Developments, Chapter 6 — Association Governance, Article 2 — Board Meeting, Section 4923

An emergency board meeting may be called by the president of the association, or by any two directors other than the president, if there are circumstances that could not have been reasonably foreseen which require immediate attention and possible action by the board, and which of necessity make it impracticable to provide notice as required by Section 4920.

Notes

Allows an emergency board meeting to be called by the association president or by any two directors other than the president when unforeseeable circumstances require immediate board attention and possible action and make ordinary notice impracticable. The authority depends on both the emergency nature of the circumstances and the practical inability to provide the otherwise required notice.
