Unless the provision or context otherwise requires, a reference in a statute to a judicial district means:

(a) As it relates to a court of appeal, the court of appeal district.

(b) As it relates to a superior court, the county.

Notes

Defines “judicial district” in statutes, unless another provision or context requires otherwise, as the court of appeal district when the reference concerns a court of appeal and as the county when the reference concerns a superior court. The definition is expressly subject to contrary statutory language or context.
