For the effectual exercise of the powers conferred by the last section, a judicial officer may punish for contempt in the cases provided in this Code.
Notes
Allows a judicial officer to punish contempt in the cases provided by the Code when doing so is needed for effective exercise of powers conferred by the preceding section. The contempt authority is tied to those previously conferred powers and extends only to cases in which the Code provides for contempt punishment.
